Summary
PS Limited are looking for a reliable, professional and flexible Chefs to work in residential care homes based in and around Somerset. We need experienced Chefs who are willing to take on work on an ad hoc basis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Planning and preparing a varied set of menus that support the delivery of a high quality catering service that caters for individual needs, including special diets, in line with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Managing the quality and hygiene of the food cycle from preparation through to delivery, ensuring that all aspects of the service operates within organisational policies and procedures, complying with all relevant regulations.
• Assisting in setting and monitoring annual catering budgets, managing stocks and supplies to ensure that menus can be delivered and catering service operates within budget.
• Promoting and monitoring food hygiene and safety standards and ensuring equipment is kept in good working order so that a safe environment is maintained and customer needs are met.
Shifts available:
• Week days
• Weekends
• Long days, earlies and lates

Applicants require:
Essential:
• Literacy and Numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths
• HVQ2 in Hospitality & Catering
• Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Minimum 1 years paid UK experience Enhanced DBS
• Full Right To Work in the UK
• 2 references (must cover past 3 years)
Desirable:
• City and Guilds 706 Level1/2 in Professional Cookery
**Applicants must have an enhanced DBS which is on the updated service. If not, you'll have to be willing to apply for one**
