Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 29 academies; 16 secondary and 13 primaries across the North of England in twelve Local Authority regions.

We are currently seeking a year 2 teacher who will also take on the role of SENCO within the Academy as an additional responsibility to start in January 2025. We are looking for an outstanding practioneer, who can motivate and inspire children to fulfil their potential, whilst actively supporting the other colleagues to help the Academy achieve its objectives. You will be able to demonstrate the drive and skill to raise standards of childrens' attainment and achievement, identifying development opportunities and interventions to implement with all children. You will also be expected to demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge and manage behaviour effectively to ensure an appropriate learning environment. Experience of special educational needs in a primary setting will be an essential criteria as you will be working with colleagues within the academy and external agencies to support our students with additional needs within the academy and help secure funding to enable this.
