About us and job overview:Alderman Richard Hallam (ARH) is a large, thriving primary school, which is fortunate to have extensive grounds in the Beaumont Leys area of Leicester. Our children mostly come from the local area and are drawn from a diverse social spectrum. We are a fully inclusive school, which nurtures every child.We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible Lunchtime Supervisor for a term-time only, permanent position. The successful candidate will be a friendly and reliable team member with an interest in working with children in our busy school. You will be required to assist and supervise children, both in the dining hall and in the playground, during lunchtime. You will also encourage healthy eating, promote good manners and lead outdoor games in a safe and supportive environment.
This position will report to the appropriate Midday Meal Manager and the Senior Leadership Team. The role is a permanent term-time only position. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 5 hours per week - timings to be discussed at interview. At ARH, we celebrate and promote positive health and well-being for everyone. We have a Well-being and Workload Reduction Team compromised of different roles within the school. The team have introduced a number of well-being initiatives such as staff quizzes, bingo nights, pamper sessions and half a day of well-being time, to name just a few. They also work together to review the workloads of staff and find strategies for reducing unnecessary tasks; recently, they have revised the feedback policy and report format, making them much more manageable.
