Summary

This is a new post to support the implementation of electronic prescribing in critical care across the Trust.

You will lead on the development, configuration and deployment of the electronic prescribing system within critical care. You will work closely with the CIS Lead Critical Care Nurse, on the roll out of the prescribing component on the system.

• Ensure that the Critical Care EPMA system meets the functional requirements supporting users of the systems from prescribers, to those administering medications as well as the clinical pharmacy teams as well as any other relevant stakeholders

• Ensuring the system is first and foremost focused on usability in addition to the functionality as outlined in the specification.

· Lead on the roll out of the prescribing element of the system to the critical care units

• You will also act as a champion for the system and a role model for users and team members alike.

• Provide support to clinical and non-clinical personnel for the preparation, implementation and delivery of new solutions and processes and provide expertise to users of the new application across the organisation.

• Provide a clinical pharmacy service to critical care units as needed, this will support the understanding of prescribing and administration in critical care and how the system needs to function.
