Summary
Job Title: Lead Interior Trim Design Engineer (942)
Location: Cranfield
Pay: £30.78 per hour
We are seeking a Lead Interior Trim Design Engineer to join a globally recognised automotive company in Cranfield. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to last several years.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve cost targets (piece price/VT, cost reduction).
• Meet quality targets (NEVQS, warranty).
• Deliver on project KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
• Provide technical solutions for development and market concerns.
• Ensure timely design note releases and deliveries.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Design/engineering qualification.
• Proficient in CAD interrogation skills.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Previous automotive design and development experience.
• Familiarity with cost breakdown analysis and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Knowledge of interior cabin parts/modules.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Valid driving license with the ability to travel globally.
Hours & Pay:
• Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
• Pay rate of £30.78 per hour.
