The role involves supporting a vibrant 34-year-old gentleman, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join him on life's journey. He is seeking a Support Worker who is happy to work 28 hours per week plus sleep-ins.
Shifts run from 08.00-22.00 and we require all Support Workers to be able to work alternate weekends. Dimensions are happy to to offer a pay rate of £13.20 per hour for this role.

He has a great sense of humour, a joy to be around, is social, outgoing, and loves to communicate. He enjoys light-hearted conversations and often uses his soft toys as a way to express himself, and communicate. Whilst enjoying his independence, he does require 24-hour, 1:1 support with personal care and safety.

He has a diagnosis of Hirschsprung's disease, Fragile X Syndrome, and Epilepsy. He may exhibit behaviours of distress, including physical aggression, but he is responding well to support.

We are looking for a support worker who is:

- Outgoing and social

- Excellent communicator with a love for light-hearted, daft conversation

- Independent in making choices

- Enjoys using soft toys as a communication tool and coping strategy

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with personal care

- Ensure Christopher's safety and the safety of others

- Provide companionship and engage in social activities

- Support Christopher in managing behaviours of distress

Requirements:

- Ability to lone work

- Experience in supporting individuals with complex needs

- Patient, compassionate, and able to maintain a positive attitude

- Willingness to engage in humorous and light-hearted interactions
