Do you have the skills, vision, enthusiasm and drive we are looking for to manage a successful team? If so, Hampshire County Council may have the role you have been waiting for.

We are transitioning to a Family Help model of delivery, as outlined in The Independent Review of Children's Social Care, which reported in May 2022 and the government's response paper 'Stable Homes, Built on Love'. You will be recruited to the District Cast Team, who will be in transition to move in a Family Help model of delivery.

What are we looking for?

Exceptional professionals to manage one of our new Family Help Teams. This will include managing a team of Social Workers, Family Support Workers and ensuring that high standards are met in delivering a social work service to children and their families.

We're looking for:

- Highly skilled, experienced and motivated Social Workers with previous experience as an Assistant Team Manager in Children’s Social Care;
- Experience of working with children and young people will be an advantage, but is not essential;
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to motivate staff and communicate your passion for achieving the best possible outcomes for children;
- Budget management experience is desirable, but not essential.

What we can offer you!

- We regard our staff as our greatest asset. You will receive regular supervision, have access to excellent training opportunities and will be supported to develop your professional skills and interests;
- A comprehensive range of training opportunities and professional development through professional supervision and mentoring;
- Access to a training programme to grow and enhance your skills;
- A period of induction;
- Generous annual leave in addition to Bank Holidays (28 to 33 days per annum);
- A range of flexible working options;
- Access to a generous pension scheme;
- Generous relocation package (up to £8,000);
- PA support for Managers and Social Workers.

Hampshire is a beautiful place to live, with vibrant cities, miles of coastline and two National Parks. If you enjoy outdoor activities, you’ll find world class walking, cycling, sailing and much more.
