Permitting Development Manager
Biogenie UK has an exciting opportunity for a Permitting Development Manager to join the team.

The Role:
You will play a crucial role in developing and delivering operational and regulatory processes and permitting essential for protecting and improving our land. You will work closely with the Operations teams, offering technical advice and support. Your main responsibilities will include drafting environmental permits and permit variations for new and existing treatment activities (including liaising with external permitting consultants), as well as ensuring compliance and managing reports for existing permits.
What you will be doing?
Responsible for the production of permit documentation for new soil and waste treatment activities.
Ensure operational and regulatory standards for environmental permitting are met and maintained.
Provide advice and support to colleagues on policies and practices to help resolve issues and problems, ensuring the decisions are made on sound technical grounds and in line with best practice and timeframes.
Produce information and documentation to support team business plans and management decisions so that Biogenie’s interests are accurately and effectively presented.
Monitor progress of work, identifying gaps in the delivery of priorities and take appropriate action as required.
Ensure information is recorded accurately, is up to date and readily accessible to support team activities. This may involve the use of specialised systems and databases.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in the Waste or Contaminated Land Industry required.
A good understanding of UK permitting regulations essential.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
Confident and proactive with the ability to manage your own time effectively.
Good organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
You must be willing to travel throughout the UK as required and hold a full UK driving licence.
