Salary: £22,113 rising to £22,469 per annum, pro rata (Professional Services Grade 3 & 3a)

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time & Part Time positions available, Term Time Only 36+2 weeks per year

Academic Support Coach - The Role:

Join our vibrant Inclusion & Support Department where you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to students who require additional assistance to access learning and college facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team, ensuring every student receives tailored support to thrive academically and personally.

Academic Support Coach - Key Responsibilities:

  • Enable learners with high needs and declared support needs to access learning and college facilities.
  • Provide high-quality learning support to aid retention and achievement of high needs funded students and for students with a declared need who are not high needs funded.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare and wellbeing of learners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support provided to ensure it meets the needs of the learner, supporting them in developing independence and achieving identified qualifications, SMART targets, and EHCP outcomes.

As an Academic Support Coach, you will engage with students in various capacities, from enhancing their health & wellbeing to fostering their independence and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Academic Support Coach - You:

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a difference in students' lives. To excel in this role, you should hold qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE C/4) or above and have prior experience supporting young people and adults with profound and moderate learning difficulties. Your ability to motivate and engage students will be crucial in helping them achieve their full potential.
