This is a great opportunity to start a vibrant and varied role, engaging directly with and supporting our students across our Brighton MET and Northbrook colleges.
Our Apprenticeship Coach role is very varied, with no two days being the same. We are happy to consider job share and flexible working conditions for the right person. We will consider people from other sectors with the right aptitude. It is a role that can be learnt, although any prior knowledge of apprenticeships would be advantageous.
As an Apprenticeship Coach, you will provide students and employers with a high level of support relevant to their Apprenticeship programme in order to facilitate progression, achievement and success. You will also focus and take an active role in the achievement of high individual student attendance and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
We offer the generous Local Government pension scheme, possible hybrid working opportunities (subject to departmental requirements), college closure days over the Christmas period (which is not deducted from annual leave entitlement) plus the option to purchase up to 5 days additional leave, and access to a range of discount schemes and professional development opportunities. Check out the Staff Benefits booklet attached to this advert for more information about our fantastic range of benefits available to staff.
Our Apprenticeship Coach will be educated to Level 3 with Level 2 Maths and English and a Level 3 coaching or mentoring qualification (or have the willingness to work towards). You should have experience of supporting students post 16 with an understanding of the study needs, options and progression opportunities for post 16 learners.
