BAND 3 Specialist Therapy Technician (Physiotherapy)

NEUROREHABILITATION/NEUROSCIENCES

12 Month FTC

Part-time (15 hours/week ideally Thursdays and Fridays based at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton - including rostered weekend working at St George’s Hospital Tooting)

Do you want to develop new skills and increase your autonomy? Are looking for a fulfilling part-time role? An opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Therapy Technician to join the Wolfson Neurorehabilitation team at Queen Mary’s Hospital working within the Physiotherapy team.

As a specialist therapy technician you will require previous experience of caring for people and experience of working in a team. Previous experience of working in a therapy technician role is desirable as is knowledge of the role of a physiotherapist. The post will involve working alongside qualified therapists to provide direct patient intervention (both one to one and group sessions), administrative tasks, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, information gathering and promotion of best quality patient care.

You will be required to work at St Georges Hospital on occasional weekends.

We offer support, supervision, in house training and the opportunity to work in a dedicated and highly skilled therapy and multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants need to be flexible, reliable, demonstrate confidence in dealing with the public and possess excellent communication skills. Good team work skills are essential as well as basic IT skills.
