Summary



The Blenheim Midwives are a close-knit and strong established team who support women and their families around the outer city of Oxford. Their clinics are based at some GP surgeries nearby and at the John Radcliffe on Level 7 of the Womens Centre.

With the team base in Headington, it provide easy access onwards to central Oxford, London and the A34 for those looking to move into the area. There is staff accommodation onsite at the JR, as well as at other hospital bases within 1 mile.

We are looking for midwives who are enthusiastic about community midwifery.

This role is not eligible for overseas sponsorship. Candidates must have an existing NMC with UK Midwifery Experience.



Full and Part Time hours are available as well as fixed term contracts to cover maternity leave. For fixed term contract there is the potential to stay with Blenheim team after or move to another community midwifery team with Oxfordshire. Must be a car driver with access to a car during the day for visits as well as day and night on-calls for home births and Delivery Suite at the John Radcliffe.

There are specialist services such as theFetaland Maternal Medicine Team and Bereavement Team.


For those working with us, we have a named Maternity Psychologist 3 days a week to support all staff, as well asaever-expanding team ofProfessional Midwifery Advocatesto provide pastoralsupport. For those wishing to develop their careers and skills, we have a core Practice Development Team who can guide staff with their career options and development opportunities.
