Peartree Life Care is looking for Community Care Workers at our Northamptonshire Branch, with numerous positions available immediately across all areas of Northamptonshire. Whether you’re an experienced Care Worker or have no prior experience, we’d love to hear from you!
Full-time, part-time, weekend shifts, flexible shifts, long days, waking nights, and sleep-in positions are available for this role.
We currently have clinical roles for Senior Carers to work alongside our Nursing Team and our Homecare Team in Domiciliary Care, Brain Injury, Mental Health Services, and Supported Living Services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a personalised, child-centred approach in delivering activities and support to children and young people with complex needs.
- Take responsibility for specific tasks as assigned by the coordinator.
- Offer guidance and support to new staff members during their probationary period.
- Participate in training and assume responsibility for children/young people requiring tube feeding or emergency medication.
- Keep all relevant information, protocols and risk assessments, up to date for an assigned group of children.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people by actively applying safeguarding practices and principles.
- Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children’s social, recreational, and leisure activities.
- Attend pre- and post-session staff meetings on a scheduled basis to review and evaluate the service's progress.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions.
- Support children and young people in engaging with activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, music, drama, and outings.
- Follow financial and administrative procedures as directed by the Children and Young People’s Coordinator.
- Adhere to first aid procedures and maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents, and treatments administered.
- Provide personal care when necessary, always respecting the individual's dignity and privacy.
- Monitor and assess the progress of children and young people through observations and thorough record-keeping.
- Carry out duties in line with Health and Safety regulations, as well as Midland Mencap's Equal Opportunities, Child Protection Policies, and Ofsted requirements.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children, young people, parents, carers, staff, and volunteers across all service interactions.
- Be available to work flexible hours across various locations in the city.
- Engage in regular planned meetings with the Children and Young People’s Coordinator and other Midland Mencap staff.
**Requirements**
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
- You should drive with full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Flexibility to have a varied shift schedule.
- You should be self-motivated, well organised and reliable
- You should have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
