The Salvation Army provides support and accommodation for homeless adults within the South Lanarkshire area. We are looking to recruit an assistant support worker to join our team in Halfway.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for assisting and delivering high-quality support to vulnerable individuals at time of a crisis and when needing assistance with advice and accommodation via telephone. You will need good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with vulnerable, homeless adults.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Experience or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards
Experience of working with vulnerable clients in this field
Knowledge and understanding of supported housing funding streams and reporting requirements
Good Telephone Skills
Admin and experience of IT systems (excel, word etc)
Motivation towards supports vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes.
Knowledge of Crisis Intervention.
