Summary
Job Title: Electrician or Approved Electrician
Base Location: Peterhead Power Station
Salary: £34,534 - £37,447 depending on skills and experience and working hours plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract, Full Time, 37-hour week Monday – Thursday 7:30 am-4pm Friday 07:30am – 12:30pm, Overtime available when required by operational needs.

What will I be doing in this role?
Our team at Peterhead Power Station work on looking after all electrical works at the station as below –
Maintenance / New install / Testing & Inspection.
Containment / wiring / repairs / fault finding / testing & inspection.
In a typical day, you could expect to be:
Conduct electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities within the power station premises.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to achieve project objectives.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any discrepancies or concerns.
What do I need to be successful in the role?
Time Served Recognised Apprenticeship
18th Edition ECS/SJIB Gold Card
Experience of testing including EICR
Current IEE wiring regulations qualification 18th Edition
Be familiar with current H&S legislation and site requirements
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulations
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
