Summary
Responsibility for Patient/Client Care To prepare clinical room for the clinics requirements, eg setting up for clinical procedures, collating relevant records, ensuring laboratory work is available, checking equipment. Clean and decontaminate clinic room . providing an aseptic environment for clinical dental procedures to be carried out in order to comply with the infection control policies. Record details accurately whilst assisting chair- side and during dental screening Handle and mix dental materials , in line with COSHH regulations Act as chaperone Give pre and post operative instructions as necessary. Have a knowledge of the hazards and potential risks within the oral-surgery clinic, such as radiation, contaminated sharps, chemical spillages, exposure to blood and body fluids.
