Summary
Judy Harvey runs a small private yard of around 12 horses including some youngstock NR Singleborough Milton Keynes . Judy has a wealth of knowledge surrounding Dressage that she is willing to share with her next apprentice, you will be under taking all general yard duties to include :
Mucking out, turning in and out
grooming , tacking up and show prep
Helping with the broodmare and youngstock
opportunity to Groom at shows
Plenty of training available on your own horse
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and Maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Skills required
Experience with horses a must, preferably current experience and with dealing with fit strong competition horses.
Prospects
Learn from an international dressage rider and judge
Progress to L3 senior groom
Possibility of permanent employment once apprenticeship finishes.
Up to 4 lessons a week on own horse
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
Duration 15 Months
