Salary: £24,064 - £26,468

We are seeking a dynamic digital marketeer with a passion for Edinburgh to join our destination marketing team. In this pivotal role, you will be key to enhancing the Edinburgh destination brand and expanding Forever Edinburgh’s digital footprint within the global visitor market.

You will play a key part in promoting Edinburgh’s year-round visitor offerings, inspiring visitors to stay longer and explore more of the city, while also engaging residents with local leisure activities. You will focus on planning and storyboarding engaging and unique content for Forever Edinburgh’s social channels, including TikTok, YouTube, Meta, and X, and support wider city marketing activity across the team.

Your responsibilities include creating captivating content that showcases Edinburgh’s attractions and collaborating with colleagues across various Council departments to ensure a cohesive and dynamic online presence. You will be required to film throughout the city throughout the week and attend some evening events as needed to capture the city’s vibrancy and special moments. Additionally, you’ll stay up-to-date with city events to capture unique content, leverage our partnership network to enhance content, and manage content publishing and scheduling.

You will monitor performance, track engagement metrics, and provide insights to refine strategies. You will also develop content for marketing campaigns, handle audience interactions, and ensure compliance with brand guidelines while staying informed on digital trends.

If you are passionate about promoting Edinburgh as a world-class leisure destination and have the necessary skills and experience, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page Our Behaviours – The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
