Summary
Job Title: CNC Miller Setter
Job Type: Days based, Perm
Location: Hersham
Hours: 7:30 16:30 Mon to Fri
Pay: Circa £35,000
Our client provides a wide variety of services including design, development, production and implementation of high-quality hazardous equipment and control systems for the Oli & Gas industry. Their team of highly qualified engineers turns concepts into reality, providing customised solutions that address the particular requirements and difficulties of every project.
Duties:
Setting and operating 3 Axis Vertical CNC Milling Machines such as FADAL VMC-4020
⦁ Read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings
⦁ Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand machining requirements and design intent
⦁ Prepare test runs to ensure programs are accurate
⦁ Monitor machines during operations and make necessary adjustments
⦁ Maintain accurate records of programs
⦁ Adhere to quality standards, checking work with various instruments
⦁ Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications
⦁ Contribute to process improvement, design and manufacture fixtures, suggesting ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency in manufacturing operations
⦁ Keeping machines and workspace clean and tidy and undertake weekly maintenance checks and record on machinery maintenance check sheet
Skills:
⦁ Proven experience as a CNC Miller, Setter, Operator
⦁ Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and precision measurement tools
⦁ Using SharpCam software to develop and optimize CNC milling programs based on engineering drawings
⦁ Machine setup, including loading materials, fixtures, and tools, and calibrating machine settings to achieve precise results
⦁ Good mathematical skills
⦁ Excellent communication skills
⦁ Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
⦁ Experience with FADAL CNC machines is advantageous
