Summary
Based in Lyneham Wiltshire we are looking for an individual to meet the contracted personnel administration requirements for Military Personnel. The roles will have a common output, dealing with a broad range of personnel support needs on a daily basis.
Training on MOD IT systems will be provided; however, experience/familiarity in similar military roles would be an advantage.
This is a full-time position, 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
-The professional responsibilities are varied, while not necessarily being exercised every day. They might include (but are not limited to):
-Administration of Service personnel accounts, including data input in accordance with Business Process Guides and policy.
-Checking and authorising expense claims.
-Assessing and advising on pay and allowance entitlements.
-Maintaining and controlling personnel documents.
-Arranging and coordinating travel and travel documentation.
-Coordinate the administration process for personnel leaving the services.
-Maintenance and updates of office registers.
-Issuing and controlling accountable documents in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
-Maintaining documents and files within an electronic information management framework.
-Provision of a direct customer interface and liaison with coordinators and Line managers. Actively promoting of a safe working culture and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures, processes and the law.
-Complying with the Data Protection Act and observe confidentiality.
-Undertake other administrational tasks as determined by the Mitie Line Manager. This could include support/ cover for other Service Streams in the contract areas, when required.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
-IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
-Knowledge/understanding of MOD administration e.g Joint Service Publications Defence Instructions and Notices.
-Unit/Regimental/Garrison Administration Office.
-Be conversant with MOD personnel support applications and systems Joint Personnel Administration (JPA) Defence Travel (desirable) but not essential.
-Ability to adapt to change and undertake additional training when required

-The successful candidate will be personable, confident and professional with a good judgement and the ability to communicate effectively.
-Proactive and responsive to the changing needs of the business and the demands of the customer, whilst remaining calm under pressure and self-
motivated. Reliable, discreet and well-presented giving a positive image of Mitie company.
-Administration experience with strong organisational skills and a high degree of integrity.
-Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships.
-Good all-round standard of education, especially literacy and numeracy (educated to GCSE English and Maths or equivalent)
Additional Information
-MOD security clearance required (Proof of right to work in the UK essential.
-Requirement to wear approved company work wear.
-Required to cover other service streams as directed by the PSS Manager
