Summary

Some of the roles and responsibilities include the following (see job description for full details): Being a key link between the ICB communications team and Northern Cancer Alliance (NCA) leading and delivering a range of key communication and engagement activities. Ensure that communication and engagement best practice is embedded across NCA programmes and that communications is accessible, timely and appropriately targeted. To ensure communications and engagement campaigns are delivered to a high standard with effective insights, evaluation and delivery, and within budget. Develop communications and engagement strategies to ensure that the ICB meets its statutory duties by effective engagement and involvement of local residents and communities - as set out in the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the Health Act 2009, the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 and the Equalities Act 2010. To ensure effective digital platforms are in place to support the public and stakeholder communications and engagement this includes social media and websites. To work with NHS trusts and a wide range of other partners to ensure co-ordination of communications and engagement as required. To plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly, prioritising work effectively and directing activities of others in the team. e.g. for delivery of NCA communications and engagement plans, service change engagement plans and formal consultations.
