Summary

The Growth Company (GC) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to join our busy Greater Manchester team.

Currently, all applications are considered as expressions of interest as funding is subject to contract award.

As a Team Manager you will lead a team of delivery staff and support staff to ensure successful delivery of a contract to maximise the achievement of outcomes and deliver the performance expectations of prime contractors and commissioners. This includes the development of strong partnerships with other service providers in a defined geography.

We are happy to consider applicants on both a full-time and part-time basis. Working patterns will be discussed during the interview but will include some evening or weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Operations Manager/Service Manager in ensuring the successful delivery of team targets for prime contractors and commissioners.
Maximise the placing and sustainment of customers into jobs or learning.
Meet the recruitment and training needs of employers and liaise with employers on workplace adjustments in line with customer needs.
Ensure team provides support to service users that enable them to thrive in work or find new employment.
Deliver a triage service to ensure customers are referred to the right provision at the right time.
Lead and support a team of delivery and support staff to drive high levels of contract performance.
Development of local relationships to ensure a good range of provision to support customers.
Development of local relationships and effective marketing activities to ensure the service receives customer referrals to meet contractual requirements.
Management of data integrity and data security, including maintenance of the required audit trail.

Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams effectively.
Confident in presenting to partner organisations and key stakeholders.
Skills Required:

Good understanding of the employability, training & employment industries
Good knowledge of local services.
Working knowledge of reasonable adjustments that employers may need to consider supporting employees with specific needs/health condition and disabilities.
Working knowledge of the principles of people management and employment law. Decisions and approaches to be agreed together with the Operations Manager/ Service Manager.
Proficient in interpreting management information (MI) and financial data.
Comprehensive understanding of the local labour market.
Well-versed in relevant local and national policies.
