Summary

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Fife, KY15
Salary: £42,641 per annum
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (rotating week one 6am -6pm/ week two 6pm -6am)

DC Personnel are representing client in Scotland that grows around 3,000 hectares of vegetable and salad crops a year. This business started as a family run business over 40 years ago and since then have serviced whole of the UK and international markets with their produce.
Due to the growth they are now looking to add experienced Mechanical Engineers to their technical team. As business never sleeps they require flexible staff members running a 4 on 4 off shift pattern that would be 4 days 6am – 6pm, after coming back from you lovely 4 days off you would then go to a 6pm -6am shift and rotate this way. It will be suitable shift pattern especially if you are looking for longer holidays without using too many holiday allowances, as an example if you are booking your first 4 working days off you are able to go away for the whole 12 days – such a benefit! Not only that, you will be surrounded by friendly team that you won’t want to take holiday from!

Your duties as Mechanical Engineer:
• Assisting production with planned and reactive engineering solutions
• Managing planned preventative maintenance
• Managing lubrication schedules
• Reducing down time
• Support ongoing improvement of plant productivity
• Assist with the management of spare part stocks
• Support external contractors’ installation works
• Monitor machinery and ancillary plant during production
• Liaise with supervisors & managers to support the identification of potential issues
• Complete scheduled works required

Your background:
• Similar experience desirable
• CMMS experience highly desirable
• MHE qualifications/ experience highly desirable
• Team player mentality
