Summary
Our client SPS Technologies are looking for CNC Operators on a rotating shift, SPS are a large aerospace company, based in Leicester. manufacture nuts, bolts and fasteners. These products are used worldwide in airframe, aero-engine, and space applications SPS' client base include some of the world's largest and well known companies such as Rolls Royce & Airbus
The Job
- Operating and running machines in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Inspect parts with precision measuring tools (i.e., Calliper, micrometre etc) at pre-determined frequency
- Working to tight tolerances
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings.
- Follow and maintain established safety rules and regulations including mandatory wearing of PPE
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous CNC milling experience at operator level as a minimum
- Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical or production environment.
- Able to work with measuring equipment & imperial measurments.
- Genuine interest the aerospace industry
- Punctual, motivated and enthusiastic

- Recent engineering qualification - City & Guilds or NVQ
- Quick and willing learner
- Genuine interest the aerospace industry
