The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the students' educational and emotional needs. We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to supporting children with severe autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational programs.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure each student's needs are met.
- Encourage and support students in their personal and social development.
What They're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with severe autism is highly desirable.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A sense of humour and a positive attitude-because the SLT believe having 'Bounce' is key!
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or equivalent experience.
- A passion for supporting students with additional needs.
