We are looking for a part time Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join Buckinghamshire College Group, working 21hrs per week, based at our Wycombe Campus.
As a Lecturer - Health & Social Care you will be educating and engaging our students, preparing them for careers in a variety of work-related areas such as nursing, supporting someone during palliative care, or helping families and children. The breadth of teaching delivered in our Health and Social Care Courses will give students the skills and knowledge to achieve success in this sector.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Plan and deliver high quality teaching with due recognition of the relevant syllabus and course specifications, including the necessary preparation of teaching notes, handouts and visual aids where required.
- Motivate and inspire students and raise their aspirations through own enthusiasm and subject knowledge and industry experience.
- Support students to take responsibility for their own learning by helping them to set goals that stretch and challenge them.

Taking Teaching Further
The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation's Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.
As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
