Class Teacher Required: November 2024Part time – 0.6 FTE (3 days per week)Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2025Main Scale Points 1-6 Ashbrook Junior School is seeking to appoint an excellent teaching practitioner who has high expectations of pupil progress and a drive for self-development.
Ashbrook Junior School is a co-educational school for children between the ages of seven and eleven. It shares a split level site with the Infant School, off Victoria Avenue in Borrowash, Derby. We are fortunate in having large, spacious teaching accommodation, with areas for small group activities, meetings and quiet reading. Our library area has recently been refurbished with new shelving through the fundraising of the PFA. We have large playgrounds and extensive grassed areas, including facilities for football, netball and various sports.

This post will be on a fixed term contract due to the unpredictable pupil numbers for the academic year 2025-2026.
You will:• Be a consistently good / outstanding primary teacher • Be passionate about teaching and learning and making a difference to every child. • Care passionately about children and their development whilst still driving forward pupil progress and achievement.• value a team working approach and be keen to contribute and share your skills with colleagues• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build on and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community.
