Summary

Acorn by Synergie are recruiting for Production / Lab Operatives on a permanent basis for their client based in Ashover near Chesterfield.

The company offer full training, excellent working conditions and genuine opportunities for progression.

Hours of work:

* Monday to Friday
* 8am - 5pm
* 40 hours per week


Starting salary will depend upon experience but will be between £29,000 & £32,000 per annum

(This increases after completion of all training and a successful probation period)


The job role will include:

* Testing construction materials
* Recording the test results
* Operating machines and tools necessary to obtain samples or carry out examinations
* Maintaining accurate and legible records and prepare reports as required by the Laboratory's Quality System
* Initiate actions to prevent/minimise deviations
* Working in accordance with UKAS accredited quality system
* Adhering to strict health and safety procedures



The ideal candidate will:

* Have experience in general labouring and testing work
* Be highly motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
* Ideally have a CSCS card although this is not essential
* Ideally have a full clean driving licence
* Be able to prioritise workload and multitask
* Have excellent communication skills
* Have a minimum Grade C GCSE in Maths, English and a Science subject
