Summary

We currently have a very exciting role for an experienced data professional to join our fast paced team as an MI Data Engineer. Playing an integral part in the transformation, streamlining and optimisation of the data that we hold and supply for our contracts, this is a varied and highly responsible role.

We are looking for someone with expertise in SQL, data mapping and Power BI, someone with the curiosity and drive to look for new ways to provide accurate and informative data to allow them to make the best decisions for their business.

This role offers scope to learn, progress and work in a friendly, supportive and knowledgeable team. This role is home based with travel to the Darlington office up to twice a week.

What you'll be doing:

• Implement data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics and business intelligence (BI) systems
• Document source-to-target mappings
• Re-engineer manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use
• Support the build of data streaming systems
• Write ETL scripts and code to make sure the ETL process performs optimally
• Develop business intelligence reports that can be re-used
• Build accessible data for analysis
• Build Data Migration scripts and ETL processes along with mapping documentation.
• Applies ethical and robust techniques in the transformation of data from one format/medium to another, in line with organisational policies and procedures and being sensitive to risks around the use of information.

What we're looking for:

• Expertise in SQL
• Proven track record in data mapping, data migration and the streamlining of databases
• The creative and technological ability to gather data, cleanse and re-format and deliver a reporting solutions for our clients
• Great communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
