Summary

SEN Learning Support Assistants

We are actively seeking dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to work with students who have learning difficulties across primary, secondary, and SEN schools in Watford, Bushey, and Hemel Hempstead. These roles are term-time only, full-time positions running Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.00pm.

Previous experience working within SEN is highly desirable; however, we are also keen to hear from individuals with relevant personal or academic experience relating to learning difficulties.

- SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
- British Sign Language (BSL)
- Dyslexia
- English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
- PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)

We welcome applications from graduates with relevant degrees and those with a strong passion for working with SEN pupils, even if direct experience is limited.
- Providing one-to-one support for SEN pupils.
- Encouraging and assisting pupils in engaging with their learning and developing their social and emotional skills based on their individual needs.
- Helping to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Supporting the class teacher in lesson delivery and pupil progress monitoring.
- A DBS on the update service is essential. If you do not have a current DBS, you can apply for one through Veritas.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
- Experience within an SEN setting is preferred but not essential for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
