Summary
Assist users to locate materials held by the library, including showing library users how to search the library catalogue and locate books on the shelves Re-shelve books in classification order, and tidy and maintain the sequence daily Identify and solve any general technical problems for library users in relation to computers, printers and photocopiers Search online catalogues to source journals articles and books to fulfil users requests Provide an induction to new library members, which includes orientation around the library and an overview of the resources, facilities and services available Create displays of library materials to promote the use of resources and services An important part of the role is promoting the library and supporting users to access and make effective use of services, resources and facilities.
