Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic, and passionate midwife to join our perinatal team as a Professional Midwifery Advocate within the Women’s and Children’s services at Sherwood Forest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a midwife with a broad range of experience within maternity services, who are innovative, proactive and compassionate. The postholder will be passionate about empowering and supporting nurses and midwives as well as empowering and supporting facilitating choice for women and birthing people.
We are seeking a midwife with excellent interpersonal skills, good communication, be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of families and staff. The purpose and focus of this specialist role is to lead on pastoral support for staff working in maternity and neonates and developing the existing Professional Midwifery Advocacy service at Sherwood Forest Hospitals, continuing to embed the A-Equip model into practice. The role will also involve supporting and advocating for women, when needed to support the Professional Midwifery Advocacy.
