Summary

Are you a highly organised and motivated individual who is a team player and able to work independently? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. This is a great opportunity to join one of the busiest teams in Streetworks and get a unique experience of working directly with Highway Authorities, Thames Water and its contractors. Our main goal is to process and thoroughly investigate all charges received from the Highway Authorities to understand whether they can be paid or disputed as per the Thames Water policy and legislation.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Charges Coordinator

- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from internal or external customers and business partners, forwarding specialist requests as appropriate.
- Collate data, carry out procedures and analyses of limited complexity and produce standard reports and for use by the team, area or department.
- Maintain data using company-specific systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Administer business procedures, managing external relationships as required, according to agreed standards and service levels.
- Communicate with a wide range of people in a courteous and professional manner, acting as an ambassador for the Company.
- Support LM and the team with any issues, discuss errors with the coordinators, provide additional training when required, and highlight any re-occurring errors to LM.
- Auditing all invoices processed while providing a weekly and monthly error rate summary to the line manager for review

What you should bring to the role

- Good communication skills are key; you must have excellent people skills and be able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Be a proactive, personable person and be able to think on your feet.
- Experience working in a related role would be beneficial.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of the operation of the area where the job operates.
- Reasonable numeracy and good organisational skills. Prioritising workloads.
- Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software
- Competency in Streetworks legislation & legal frameworks.

- Salary of £28,000 per annum depending on skills and previous relevant experience.
