Summary
About The Role
Overall Purpose of the role
Assist with a range food and beverage service activities on the wards. Main aim will be to carry out a range of catering duties, ensuring a high-quality service is provided at all times.
You will be working Saturday and Sunday between 16:00 to 19:00, 6 hours per week.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
- Assisting with food preparation / probing food for temperature / completing due diligence paperwork
- Dishing up food and drinks on the ward to patients
- Replacing / refilling of water jugs
- Assist with collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery and trays
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and ready for the next shift
- Ordering stock and filling up
- Report broken equipment to supervisor
Professional Qualifications
Food Hygiene Certificate at National Level 1 - preferred but not essential as training will be given
Experience
- Experience in catering role
- Good customer service skills
- Use of tablet is desirable but training will be provided
