Summary

Sodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our established team working with our prestigious clients based in Macclesfield.

Joining our team at their large pharmaceutical & biotechnology site, you will be reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager of the Command Hub, where you will be responsible for leading the Adhoc Works Team, overseeing chargeable works, ensuring the efficient coordination and collaboration among team members for successful execution of technical projects.

The Project Engineer will Support the planning function to streamline workflows and consistently innovate, Create and manage a dynamic resource allocation model, considering real time demand, skillset & resource availability and review maintenance strategies in collaboration with the operational leads to assist with the maintenance program on site.

The Project Engineer will develop and manage project budgets, providing cost-effective solutions without compromising technical excellence whilst ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards and identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost savings within the Adhoc Works Team.

Staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to bring innovative solutions to the team, you will collaborate with the senior leadership team to understand business objectives and align project activities accordingly.

About You

Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:

  • Proven experience in project engineering, ideally in the pharmaceutical or GMP industry and familiarity with regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to innovation and process optimisation
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical requirements with business objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture
  • Proactive and results-driven

Qualifications required:

  • MIET, Master of Science or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or equivalent technical experience highly preferable
