This SEND School, located near the beautiful coastal town of Bexhill, is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children with special educational needs. Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Support Staff (TAs) to join a passionate and dedicated team. The successful candidates will work closely with teachers and other staff to support the educational and developmental needs of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Support students in the classroom, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are able to engage in learning activities.
  • Work one-on-one with students to provide targeted support and interventions.
  • Help with classroom management and organisation, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care needs of students, if necessary.
  • Participate in school activities and events, fostering a sense of community and inclusion.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to drive is essential, as some travel to and from the school or related activities may be required.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or childcare are preferred but not essential.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
