You will play a key role in shaping, developing, and overseeing commissioned services that meet the needs of our community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning of services in [specific sectors, e.g., health, social care, education, etc.], ensuring they deliver exceptional quality and value.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis, service reviews, and gap analyses to identify needs and opportunities for service improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement commissioning strategies aligned with organisational priorities and goals.
  • Manage the procurement and contract management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Monitor and evaluate commissioned services, ensuring they deliver agreed outcomes and adapt to changing needs.
  • Ensure budgets and financial resources are effectively allocated and managed to optimise service delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commissioning, procurement, or contract management, ideally within the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning principles, processes, and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to analyse complex data, manage budgets, and identify service needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including service providers, government bodies, and the community.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
