Role Purpose

SBC Contracts are looking for an enthusiastic individual to operate specialist plant based at Duns roads depots. The position at Duns is to operate an asphalt paver, and other associated types of plant equipment. Although not essential, a Class C HGV licence or C1+E would be desirable.

Successful applicants will need to be able to demonstrate considerable experience in operating specialist plant in either a highways or construction environment as well having a sound knowledge of Health & safety. Within our Infrastructure and Environment service, Roads operations and SBc Contracts encompass a range of highly visible front line services. This job requires the post holder to deliver Services throughout the year across the area of operations, undertaking duties relating to Roads Maintenance, Winter Maintenance and SBc Contracts activities

Essential

A basic education (Numeracy and literacy)
CSCS card, or willing to obtain once in post.
Category B drivers licence
