Summary

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for experienced Production Operators for a Client in the Llantrisant area.

This position is temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

Position Overview

To carry out a variety of tasks in relation to Safety, Production, Quality, Line washouts, Material handling, Administrative tasks and housekeeping, to ensure maximum Production output of finished goods.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

* Previous Production and Manufacturing experience.

* Able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

* Carry out line wash out cycles.

* Manage a production line and associated equipment effectively.

* Monitor line performance and problems arising.

* Carry out line adjustments where necessary to ensure maximum/quality output subject to competence/training.

* Work continuously towards improvements in line efficiency.

* To work as part of a team and to impart expertise and training to others as necessary.

* Ensure Company quality standards are maintained.

* Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.

* Use a variety of transportation to ensure the safe handling of necessary materials.

* Perform administrative tasks including completion of line documentation.

* Follow production plans.

* Use ERP systems to maintain stock accuracy.

* Follow all relevant housekeeping procedures to ensure that the highest level of cleanliness is maintained at all times.

Qualifications - Essential

* GCSE English and Mathematics grades A - D (or equivalent).

Qualifications - Desirable

* NVQ Performing Manufacturing Operations.

* Health and Safety qualification.

* Engineering related NVQ.

Essential Skill Requirements

* Good communication skills and attitude.

* Team player with the ability to also work autonomously.

* Flexible - able to work shifts.

* Competent and self motivated.

* Good understanding of safety and environmental issues.

* Good understanding of high quality requirements.

Other Skills/Abilities - Desirable

* Data handling/PC Skills.

* Able to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.

* Engineering/mechanical aptitude.

The hours of work are mornings and afternoons and night shifts.
The hourly rate is £11.44 plus 20% shift allowance on morning and afternoon shifts/£11.44 an hour plus 33.33% on night shifts.
