We are currently looking to recruit a keen, enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Support Worker to join our Cambridge Community Adult Eating Disorder service, based within the grounds of Addenbrookes Hospital, in the vibrant University City of Cambridge.
It is a very exciting time to join our services, with plans in place to develop our excellent staff team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in our pathways and medical monitoring service for those suffering from eating disorders.
You may be required to undertake and successfully complete the new national Care Certificate within a 12 weeks’ timeframe if you meet our criteria. You will receive full training and support and The Care Certificate sets out 15 national care standards that must be achieved by all health and social care staff to demonstrate that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe and excellent quality of care. It is a foundation programme which can provide the first steps to career development within the NHS.
To offer Intensive community support and/or medical monitoring to the Adult Eating Disorders Service users in the community. Support may include physical health checks, motivational work and meal planning. All support is to be delivered in a sensitive and motivational manner. These services are delivered across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough both in clinics and patients homes dependent on the intervention.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle.You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. 1. To carry out tasks as directed by senior staff, physical health monitoring investigation and including phlebotomy to take bloods as necessary.
2. To provide delivery of high-quality care and support to patients and their carers, using a person-centred approach in the promotion of their well-being and recovery.
3. To use an enabling approach to empower the service user in their own recovery.
4. To contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic programme of care for patients. Including motivational work.
5. To report any changes in condition or general level of needs of service users
6. To ensure high standard and accurate verbal/written communication about patient care with all team members
7. To develop and maintain good relationships, communication and teamwork with all disciplines.
8. To participate in the Care Programme Approach
9. To ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standards in accordance with local and Trust policies and procedures.
10. To comply with local and Trust policies and procedures including attending mandatory training and refreshers.
11. To ensure all administrative duties are completed on a timely basis.
12. To ensure attendance and documentation of supervision both managerial and professional.
13. To contribute to the induction of new staff and students.
14. To undertake other appropriate tasks delegated by senior staff.

16. In order to meet service requirements, you may be required to, from time to time, work in other areas of the service when required.
17. The post holder will be required to work flexibly and travel between appointments across trust.
