Summary
The role of the Elective Access Coordinator is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic. Primarily this will include; liaising with the Pre-Operative Assessment Nurses, coordinating appointments. To be responsible for providing an accurate and timely account of the entire patient pathway on the Patient Management system. To communicate and liaise with key personnel working within the UHB and as well as external health boards and agencies in order to expedite the patient pathway and provide information on breaches. To manage, co-ordinate, organise and deliver designated Theatre lists across the UHB following NICE & RTT guidelines to ensure appropriate treatment decision process.
