MEETING & EVENTS


The Meeting & Events department boasts 24 stylish event spaces capable of hosting gatherings of all sizes, from board meetings to large weddings and corporate events. With over 120 team members, we serve up to 800 guests simultaneously. Our experienced team ensures seamless and successful events, from celebrity golf days to themed BBQs, creating memorable experiences for all attendees.

The on-target earning potential for this role is a £32,325.27 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £30,102.27 supplemented by an estimated £2223.00 in gratuities per annum, ensuring a rewarding compensation package.

About the role


Are you a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager with a passion for leading teams and delivering exceptional service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced events environment and enjoy the challenge of managing multiple bars?

We are looking for an Events Bar Manager to oversee and manage our hotel’s multiple bar operations for events, ranging from weddings and corporate functions to large-scale celebrations. As the Events Bar Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our bars run smoothly and efficiently while delivering outstanding service to all our guests. Youl will manage a team of up to 30 staff as well as close to 2 million pounds of revenue

This role is 45 hours per week, from 12 or 3 pm until close 5 days out of seven.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of several bars across various events.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and bar staff.
  • Maintain an environment which promotes employee morale and pride
  • Ensure high standards of service and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels, control costs, and ensure profitability. Be experienced in taking ownership over your department and achieving financial and guest score targets
  • Working with the Head of Meeting and Events to establish and implement new ideas and initiatives within the department.
  • Work closely with the events team to provide a seamless guest experience.

About you


The ideal candidate with be passionate about quality, wine and beverages and the use of seasonal produce, and the delivery of exceptional customer service along with a in a stunning environment you will also be:

  • Proven experience in bar management, preferably in a hotel or events setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Knowledge of stock control, bar operations, and budgeting.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
  • An inspirational leader who develops your team and fosters excitement for our food and drinks offering
  • Fantastic eye for detail and able to develop strong relationships with your guests, team, and colleagues
