*The successful candidate for this role will be required to utilise their personal vehicle for site visits and patrols. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable and insured vehicle are essential for this position. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policies. The ability to travel as part of the job is crucial, and candidates should be comfortable with the associated responsibilities of using their own vehicle for work purposes.*
Areas to cover: HINCKLEY, COVENTRY, BIRMINGHAM, WALSALL, LEAMINTON SPA, WARWICK.
Responsibilities:
Monitor assigned parking areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations and policies.
Patrol designated areas to identify parking contraventions, such as unauthorised parking, expired meters, and parking in restricted areas.
Issue parking charge notices (tickets) to vehicles found in breach of parking regulations, following established procedures and accurately recording relevant information.
Utilize technology and software systems effectively for ticketing purposes
Provide clear and concise instructions to vehicle owners regarding parking contraventions, parking charge notices, and procedures for contesting or paying fines.
Answer questions and provide information to the public regarding parking regulations, parking facilities, and general inquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to address difficult or escalated situations, ensuring safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate and organized records of issued parking charge notices
Conduct routine inspections of parking facilities to identify maintenance needs, such as signage repairs or equipment malfunctions, and report them to the appropriate department for resolution.
Provide support and assistance to customers who require help with parking equipment, payment systems, or general inquiries.
Stay updated on current parking regulations, policies, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to the public.
Follow established safety protocols and practices to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while on duty.
Collaborate with the parking operations team to address operational challenges, improve processes, and enhance the overall parking experience.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience in parking enforcement, security, or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately record information and issue parking charge notices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with the public, including handling difficult or sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
Basic knowledge of parking regulations, traffic laws, and parking facility operations.
Physical ability to walk or stand for extended periods, traverse various terrains, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and demonstrate integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and evenings, based on operational needs.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
