Job Title: Relief Security OfficerLocation: The Princess Royal Hospital
Job Overview: As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide essential cover during the absence of core staff, including for holidays and additional shifts. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors at The Princess Royal Hospital. Your duties will include patrolling the premises, responding to emergencies, and ensuring a calm and secure environment. This position is both challenging and rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a healthcare setting.
Main Responsibilities:
-Keep Everyone Safe: Ensure the safety of everyone on hospital grounds.
-Handle Emergencies: Respond to security incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
-Patrol the Area: Regularly check hospital buildings and grounds to keep them secure.
-Monitor CCTV: Watch security cameras and manage the control room to prevent incidents.
-Prevent Crime: Deter unauthorized access, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
-Help Visitors: Provide assistance and directions to patients and visitors when needed.
-Calm Conflicts: Use training to defuse tense situations with agitated individuals.
-Write Reports: Keep accurate records of incidents and actions taken.
-Work with Others: Collaborate with hospital staff, law enforcement, and other security teams to ensure safety.
Required Skills:
-Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor license.
-Good communication and people skills.
-Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
-Physically fit to respond quickly in emergencies.
-Willing to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
