Summary
Steelcraft manufactures and fits a range of mild steel architectural metalwork (railings, gates, balconies and stair balustrade) plus industrial and sheet metal fabrications. They also sell a range of standard products nationally via their e-commerce website “Forjj”.
We are looking for an experienced fabricator to join the workshop team. The ideal candidate will show evidence of direct experience and/or specific qualifications in the fabrication of our products, particularly railings and gates.
> Dressing skills are essential in addition to welding.
> You will have a keen eye for detail, a quality focus, and good communication skills.
> A candidate with experience in sheet metal work, and/or site installation would be of interest but these skills are not essential.
> Wages are negotiable depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
Role includes:
> Following engineering drawings
> Operating machinery, power tools and hand tools.
> MIG welding of mild steel 1.5mm-15mm thickness
> Fabrication and self-QA of finished products which must include grinding and dressing.
Experience & Skill Requirements:
> MIG welding – essential
> NVQ (or equivalent) Fabrication – advantageous
> Ability to interpret CAD drawings – essential
> Architectural metal fabrication experience – advantageous
Hours: Normal hours of work are 39.0 hours a week. OT opportunities.
• Monday to Friday - Daytime
