Summary

At Frenchay, we provide specialist rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological needs following acquired or traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions. Therefore, we are seeking a candidate with existing skills in neurorehabilitation who is highly motivated to improve patient outcomes through your treatment approaches, based on the best available evidence. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with Doctors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Psychologists and, as such, teamwork and communication skills will be key. What you'll be working: Our standard working hours for this role are 37.5, 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. What you'll be doing: Your clinical work will cover: Medical and physical management of spasticity including splinting and serial casting Complex postural management Disorders of consciousness Assessment for and provision of orthotics Hydrotherapy Use of specialist equipment e.g. the Lite-Gait overhead walking harness and treadmill; Quest electric standing frames; standard and motomed exercise bikes and tilt tables Management of Behaviours that Challenge Tracheostomy management and weaning Patient centred goal setting Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights. Managerial duties will involve: Take a pro-active and supportive role in service development Provide supervision and appraisal for team members Deliver both local in-service and more formal training Be involved in centre wide initiatives You will receive excellent clinical support and supervision with a commitment to your ongoing training and development.
