Summary
The postholder will be pivotal in supporting newly introduced and upcoming regulatory requirements, in particular around competency and conduct standards. This will be achieved by interpreting policy and procedure to support and inform learning and development across Neighbourhoods and Housing to retain a competent and confident workforce.
You will work with people at all levels throughout the service to identify training needs, design and deliver learning/information briefings, practice workshops, e-learning (and other appropriate modes of delivery) and provide support to help people achieve their goals and meet the business needs.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and enthusiastic individual, being approachable, with a passion for learning and development, who has excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others. You will also be expected to effectively monitor achievement of training and provide ongoing learning opportunities for employees to help them improve their work performance, develop their knowledge to meet the business objectives.
You will need to be highly organised, have the ability to manage your own time, prioritise your workload, be prepared to work out of different locations and will have experience of using a broad range of IT systems and packages.
You must have an excellent level of written and oral communication skills, the ability to deal effectively with people, identify and resolve conflict, have good problem-solving skills, work well with others and equally work on your own initiative.
As part of the interview process you will be asked to prepare and present a 10-minute workshop.
