Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly motivated Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join T13 Oncology at University College London Hospitals. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm in caring for patients. This post would include supervision of junior members of the team, coordinating the ward on shift, and providing support to enable junior members of the team to develop.

At UCLH we provide highly specialised cancer care for oncology patients with a wide range of solid tumours, we are one of two cancer centres in London offering specialised care to sarcoma patients. T13 Oncology is an acute 44-bed ward. As a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse, you would be working alongside a supportive and committed multi-disciplinary team.

Excellent communication skills, a friendly approachable nature and an ability to manage your own workload are required. Previous Oncology experience including chemotherapy is essential, additional training and support will also be provided.

What we do: Our inpatient unit provides a variety of treatments including: • Cytotoxic chemotherapy • Trial treatments • Biological therapies • Radiotherapy • Brachytherapy • Radioisotope treatments • Palliative care including complex symptom management and end of life care
