Job Title: CCTV Technician
Base Location: Newquay, Cornwall
Salary: Up to £35,609 depending on skills and experience and working hours - Overtime and call out payments additional to base salary plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8am-4pm. Overtime there for those who want it
Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all. In Cornwall the local depot in addition to street lighting also manages and maintains Traffic Signals, Highway CCTV, Open Space CCTV ANPR and Speed cameras.
Could you be our next CCTV Technician to join the team and drive this success forwards?
What will I be doing in this role?
Work closely with established clients to install, maintain and assist design and pricing of various CCTV systems across Cornwall.
In a typical day, you could expect to be;
Installing and maintaining CCTV across Cornwall
Taking part in diagnosing faults, and fixing faulty equipment
Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the general public
Operating a mobile elevated working platform if required
Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations
Logging into systems to check functionality
What do I need to be successful in the role?
You will have an electrical/CCTV background and hold relevant qualifications
Experienced in setting up CCTV systems from control rooms to site using IP networks
Understanding of Wi-Fi radio communications
It would be a benefit if you have a good knowledge of the 18th Edition
We work in all weathers! So you need to be the type of person who is happy working outdoors all year round.
A lot of this role will be working at height, so you need to be comfortable with working in a MEWP or on a ladder above the ground.
We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations
Security vetting is required
Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;
We would look for you to hold IPAF training
Trained to install and maintain Bosch BVMS Enterprise Systems
Understanding of Geutebruck VMS analogue CCTV
Knowledge of Wi-Fi links and networking IP architecture design
We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the ‘nice to have’ list
