Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Boughton Leigh Infant and Junior Schools are both established, growing and forward thinking schools where children aged 3 to 11 years old make outstanding progress and achieve their potential.

Our ambition across both school is to provide an outstanding education for all our pupils, regardless of background or ability. Through our nurturing ethos and embedded approach to child-centred learning, we want to continue to provide our families with the best possible learning environment for their child.

There are three Key Stages across the schools:

• Early Years Foundation Stage – Nursery and Reception
• Key Stage One – Years 1 and 2
• Key Stage Two – Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

Both schools are looking to work more collaboratively together and this role will be a key first step in this process.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate and committed School Business Manager, who will be a member of our school leadership team, to manage the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school and be responsible for leading finance and budget management, human resources management, business and administration management, premises and health and safety.

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working in a primary or high school setting or other similar educational provision.

The role requires a dedicated, flexible and organised person who will approach work with a positive attitude, honesty, confidentiality and integrity.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an experienced School Business Manager, or has a professional qualification and experience in a related area to the School Business Manager role.
• Is resilient and can work calmly under pressure.
• Is highly motivated, friendly, approachable and brings energy and a good sense of humour.
• Has a proven track record of leading and managing all aspects of business management.

The successful candidate will work with a small and dedicated administration teams, fantastic pupils and hardworking colleagues who are passionate about everything they do.

The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team in both schools and make major contributions to the work of the SLT in all aspects of the school.
